Anantara Uluwatu embodies a true luxury hotel in Bali. One of the most exclusive experiences offered by Anantara in Bali is a blessing and chakra cleansing by the revered healer High Priestess Ibu Jero. The experience is a 7 hour spiritual journey and blessing where Ibu Jero guides the participant through an immersive purification ritual.
The brief was to ensure that the experience is one of spirituality. The concept was paramount here to make sure it was both accurate, but also visually pleasing and brought every element to life.
To execute this, the film starts and finishes following a single character through the literal process a guest would embark on. However, once she is submerged in the healing waters of the Tirta Sudamala temple, time stops and we follow her spiritual journey through a 7-stage dream sequence, each representing the cleansing of each chakra in turn.
To remain in keeping with reality, the concept and art direction went even deeper. Each scene was shot from the level of that specific chakra. Moreover, the character was dressed in relative attire and wearing the representative stone for the chakra.
Shot in collaboration with our Australian partners Lux HD, five commercials were produced.
