Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort is a beautiful property located inside Bazaruto National Park. Surrounded by sea, forestry and sand dunes, there is something special and unique about staying here.
After four years of working with the Anantara brand it was decided that we needed to refresh the video concept. Moving away from the “a day in the life of…” was a bold move but one that actually allowed us to redesign the way the brand uses video from the ground up. Historically the focus was alway hero film first, then cutting this down to form a 30 second and 2 x 15 second edits. These inevitably all ended up using the same footage with the shorter cuts simply being trimmed down variants of the main film.
Our new approach turned this process on its head, creating a series of 15 second commercials around key aspects or offerings of the properties. Then using the best shots and other un-utilised b-roll to form two longer edits (the 30 second and 60 second) that became stand out films in their own right.
The new concept was a success and has gone on to be the basis for Anantara shoots since.
