Shangri-La, pioneers of Asian hospitality with stunning hotels across the world. Shangri-La required a showcase of their “A Festival of Chinese Flavours” event, which showcases a spectacular serving of exquisite dining experiences. Where 18 of Shangri-La’s master chefs presented an epic showcase of six great Chinese culinary traditions.
The five-day event promised to serve up tantalising signature dishes, masterful contemporary menus and awe-inspiring flavours at 18 Shangri-La hotels across China.
To showcase such an extraordinary event with a limited filming window required a creative solution. Therefore, we took the approach of combining our 4 Shangri-La hotel shoot with some carefully selected stock footage. This created a fast paced and stylised edit, designed to communicate the translation of Chinese culture into fine dining cuisine at the heart of the festival.
These films were a centrepiece of the promotional campaign for the festival. This project also won Best Commercial at the Royal Television Society (NETB) 2019.
